Practice focused research is an abiding interest of Nerenberg's. In particular,
she is interested in why some interventions work and others don't.
- Co-investigator, along with Pamela Teaster, PhD, on “A National
Look at Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Teams” and “An Adult
Protective Services View of Collaborative Efforts With Mental Health Services” for
the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the National
Center on Elder Abuse
- Co-authored, with Joanne Otto and Rosalie Wolf, “Evaluation of
Ohio's Adult Protective Services” for the College of Social work
at Ohio State University
- Served as consultant and technical advisor on numerous other research
and evaluation projects
